62nd Independence Anniversary: Enugu PDP Guber Candidate Hails Ugwuanyi, Citizens For Peace

As Nigerians commemorate the country’s 62nd political independence from the United Kingdom, the Enugu State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate, Dr. Peter Mbah has saluted the collective efforts of the state government, led by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, and the citizens in ensuring that the state is peaceful and safe from insecurity.

In a press release signed by the Chief Media Officer of the Peter Mbah Media Organisation, Mr. Dan Nwomeh, the 2023 governorship hopeful said they were gladdened by the legacies of peace, security and new infrastructure the people are enjoying in the state, stressing that such were possible because of the unflinching resolve of the Ugwuanyi’s administration to secure lives and property of his citizens.

“We are gladdened by the legacies of peace, security and new infrastructure the people of the state are enjoying today as enabled by the tireless efforts and commitments of the Ugwuanyi administration,” Mbah noted.

Mbah who is celebrated for his uncommon innovation and exploits in the private sector further reiterated his commitment to give the people of the state the best leadership experience through what he called, paradigm shift in governance, maintaining that a new dawn in the nation’s history is possible.

He said: “Even as we celebrate today, we are committed to giving Ndi Enugu the best leadership through the continuity of good governance and paradigm shift in our pursuit of a new dawn.”

While insisting that Nigerians, in particular the people of Enugu State possess resilient and enterprising spirits geared towards moving the country forward, the industrialist vowed to forge a progressive alliance with the people through a robust, dynamic and healthy social contract that will make the people the centrepiece of his government.

According to him: “We salute the resilient spirit of our enterprising citizens: men, women, and the youths of our dear state, and we hope to forge a progressive alliance and social contract with them in the next phase of our collective march to greatness.”

It will be recalled that Nigeria got its independence on 1st October, 1960 from its former British colonial masters.
