2025 HAJJ PILGRIMS CHARGED TO BE WORTHY AMBASSADORS OF THE STATE

Muslim faithfuls have been called upon to be law abiding as they set out for this year’s pilgrimage.

The secretary to the State Government , Professor Kenneth Kalu, who made the call while addressing the Muslim faithfuls in his office, shortly before their trip to the holy land, urged them to be good ambassadors of the state and the country while in the holy land.

Prof. Kenneth Kalu who identified Abians as people of faith irrespective of their religion, stressed the need for all to practise their faith within the dictate of their religion.

While congratulating them for making it for the pilgrimage, Prof. Kalu, wished them a very peaceful and safety trip to the holy land even as he prayed for God’s protection upon their lives.

Earlier in his speech, the chairman, Muslim pilgrim Board,Sheik Ali Ukiwo, said that they came to inform the SSG, Prof. Kenneth Kalu, of their journey to the holy land while thanking God for making the pilgrimage possible as well as the Governor, Dr Alex Otti for the approval of the pilgrimage.

In his remarks, the leader, Muslim community, Abia State, HRH Sarki Yaro Danladi, who expressed joy over the pilgrimage, assured the government of the good conduct of the pilgrims, adding that they will not betray the confidence reposed on them.
