2023: We’ll Compel Chinedum Orji To Run For Abia Governorship -Youths

 

Against the backdrop of the statement credited to the father of equity in Abia state, Senator T A Orji,that Governorship slot ought to be zoned to the Abia North Senatorial District in 2023, youths under the aegis of Abia Youths For Ikuku, has stated their readiness to mount pressure on their Principal, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji,the Speaker, Abia House of Assembly to contest for the 2023 Governorship election in Abia state.

The group said their position is not borne as a mark of disrespect to the Distinguished Senator T A Orji’s comment on zoning formula, but because Abia youths want someone who has the capacity and capability to deliver the goods to the People’s Democratic Party in Abia state in the emerging Political dispensation.

They, however, promised not only to compel Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji to throw his hat on the ring, but revealed that they would purchase his Expression and Nomination of interest forms, in order to prove how serious they are to enthrone a new leadership in Abia where their Principal will emerge victorious at the end of the election in 2023.

In an interview with Journalists in the state shortly after the inauguration ceremony of Abia Youths for Ikuku,Aba North and Aba South LGA’S at Heritage Hotel,Aba, the Youthful Patron of the group,Engr Kingsley Chibiko Young, noted with satisfaction that their boss, Ikuku-oma Abia, has been tested and trusted, therefore has what it takes to deliver the goods,hence why the youths in the state are seriously clamouring for his candidacy.

He further pointed out that their enthusiasm is also hinged on the Not too Young to Run Bill which has been passed into law, adding that Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji is the only person they have discovered will rewrite the history of youths in Abia in particular and the state at large.

Engr Young further revealed that the father of equity in Abia, Senator T A Orji, has set the pace by stating that he is retiring from active partisan politics in order to pave the way for the younger ones to go to the Senate come 2023.

Meanwhile, the Coordinator of Abia Youths for Ikuku, Onyemachi Ndidi, said that Abia youths are solidly behind Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji to run for 2023 Governorship in Abia.

On zoning controversy and statement credited to Senator T A Orji supporting the Governorship slot to go to Abia North,
Abia Youths for Ikuku Coordinator noted that the distinguished Senator acted well like an elder statesman, but they still stand with their Principal and that there is no going back until Ikuku says otherwise.

He maintained that he is Speaking the minds of Abia Youths,noting that they are not rebels but freedom fighters who want youth friendly person as their leader.

The group’s coordinator, therefore commended the newly inaugurated Executives of Aba North and Aba South, while charging them to work as a team to ensure that their principal is delivered at the end of the day.

It would also be recalled that some few days ago, Arochukwu chapter of Abia Youths for Ikuku was inaugurated where Prince Nelson Ekeh led Exco emerged in a colourful ceremony held at Ihechiowa in Arochukwu LGA of Abia State.

In their seperate acceptance speeches, Innocent Ikonne,Aba North coordinator and Ugwuzor Uchenna Alaba,Aba South coordinator and Prince Nelson Ekeh,Arochukwu coordinator, promised to take Abia Youths for Ikuku to greater heights in their various LGAs .

The Coordinators further expressed  satisfaction with the mammoth crowd who want to identify with the structure and Ikuku loyalists who are earnestly yearning for the candidacy of Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji to emerge as the next Governor of Abia State.

Abia Youths therefore concluded by saying that they can no longer sit on the fence when things are going wrong without participating and suggesting the way forward for the governance of God’s own state.
