The publisher of one of the leading Magazines in the South East, Ukpai Nnanna, has joined the Ohafia South State Constituency Race, promising to make youth inclusiveness and empowerment his priority.
Nnanna who said he is coming with so much programs for the youth of Ohafia south if elected, maintained that it is time for the youth to be given a chance to lead.
Speaking with newsmen at the PDP secretariat, Umuahia, Nnanna said he is going to the Abia State House of Assembly to represent the youth,as well as make laws that would benefit Ndi Ohafia South, especially Laws that cut across the promotion of their culture,education, agriculture and infrastructure.
The House of Assembly aspirant disclosed that he is holding the youth mandate and reemphasized on the need to change the political trajectory of Ohafia South because for him,”If you continue to do a thing the same way,you cannot get a different result.This is called the youth mandate,not for the elderly.
“Ohafia has good cultural heritage that needs to be promoted,these cultures can be showcased to the outside world for revenue generation.
“The happiness of my people is my happiness, therefore, whatever am doing must have the welfare of my people first”.
The Unity Magazine Publisher further used the medium to debunk the rumour peddling around that he is being sponsored by some political bigwigs to go into the Abia House and stand in for them.”Nothing of such exist.I came out for this race on my own, nobody is sponsoring me.I am sponsoring myself because i made money from my business”.
He, however, solicited for the support of his people, promising never to disappoint them but give effective and quality representation.
