2023: Onwusibe Wins Labour Party Ticket For Isialangwa North/South Federal Constituency

 

 

It was indeed a big day for the Member representing Isialangwa North State Constituency, Hon Ginger Onwusibe,as he wins the Labour party ticket to represent Isialangwa North/South Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber.

Hon Onwusibe who recently joined the Labour Party from the PDP, described himself as being eminently qualified to speak for the people, having been familiar with the political terrain of the state.

In his speech shortly after his victory at the Primaries held in Umuahia,Hon Onwusibe vowed to bring victory for the party come 2023,

According to him,he has distinguished himself in the service of his people,right from his days as a Councillor to his present position as a Lawmaker, vowing to repeat those excellent performances at his constituency, if he wins the election.

The Primary election which was done under tight security, was electronically monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Independent Observers and the Media.

The Abia Lawmaker polled the total votes of the 194 delegates from Isialangwa North/South, leaving him as the winner of the contest.

He promised to give his best and as well preach the gospel of the Party across all nooks and crannies of Abia, urging their supporters to remain resolute and dogged.

Similarly, the President General of Ohuhu Welfare Development Union,Chief Obi Aguocha, also emerged as the party’s flag bearer for Ikwuano/ Umuahia Federal Constituency, with a total votes of 228 out of the 228 votes cast.

In related development, the Federal Legislator, who is currently representing Isialangwa North/South Constituency, Hon Darlington Nwokocha,clinched  the Labour party ticket to represent Abia Central Senatorial District at the forth coming general elections

 

With a total votes of 462, Hon Nwokocha cruised home with the senatorial ticket.

He thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed on him over the years, urging them not to derail in their support.

The Lawmaker further stated with optimism that the party would win elections in Abia come 2023, maintaining that the quality of candidates produced by the party this time, further gives a clear cut indication, that the party is in for a serious business and it would be victory all the way.
