The Agbama Political Leaders Forum has assured the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP, Professor Uche Ikonne of their maximum support in 2023 elections.
The group gave the assurance during a solidarity visit to Professor Ikonne at his Agburuike Nsulu Country home.
Speaking during the visit, the President of the Association,
Comrade Uche Achugbuo, disclosed their reason for the visit, which he said was to congratulate their own on his emergence as the PDP gubernatorial flag bearer in Abia State.
Achugbuo stated that they were intensifying efforts in ensuring all residence in Agbama Housing Estate Umuahia, register and get their PVCs.
He also noted Professor Ikonne’s unwavering support to his neighbours in Agbama, assuring him of their unalloyed support towards his aspiration.
Reacting, Professor Uche Ikonne thanked them for the honour and promised to consolidate on the peaceful atmosphere created by the incumbent Governor.
He revealed that his administration will consolidate on the positive gains of the incumbent, thereby putting Abia on a faster lane of development.
The guber candidate noted that his administration will institute participatory governance,where every Abian will be involved in the leadership of the state.
Highlights of the visit was the donation of a Bible to Professor Ikonne.
The Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate, Barr. Okey Igwe, the DG and Members of Uche Ndi Abia Campaign organisation, among other dignitaries were present during the visit.
