The African Democratic Congress (ADC),in Abia State, has discredited its gubernatorial candidate for the 2023 elections, Bishop Sunday Onuoha, alleging that he is a mole being used to disrupt the activities of the ADC in Abia, stating that soon, the party will endorse and give support to the candidate of another political party.
Briefing newsmen in Umuahia, the Abia State Chairman of the ADC, Obinna Don Norman, said the governorship candidate of ADC is not contesting for any election come 2023, pointing that he is only being used as a mole to distabilize the party, adding that his level of unpreparedness has further shown, he is only in the race for selfish gains.
According to Obinna Don Norman, Bishop Sunday Onuoha,is being sponsored to weaken the activities of the ADC, adding that as a matter of fact, ADC collapsed in Abia,the day he emerged as the gubernatorial candidate of the party.

He further alleged that Bishop Onuoha is being used by the past Governor of Abia, to get back at him( Obinna Don Norman) and also to cripple the activities of the party, being the only strong opposition party in the state.
The ADC chairman, however, stated that in the coming weeks, his party would be adopting the governorship candidate of another party that is ready to serve Abia come 2023 and urged his members to give their full support.
Norman, however, regretted the process that brought on board Bishop Onuoha as the party’s gubernatorial candidate, lamenting that the zeal with which the party started in Abia has eventually died.
He alleged that Bishop Onuoha killed the party in Abia, stating that he brought division among party members and connived with the National Chairman of the party to remove him as the state chairman, because he (Onuoha), saw him as an obstacle to achieving his selfish and clannish desires. He revealed that the evil plan of Sunday Onuoha later boomeranged, as judgement of the removal of the National Chairman of the ADC would be given on the 20th of this month.

“Onuoha destroyed ADC in Abia,he is not fit to bring the desired change, we need a candidate that is firm,a candidate that has a mind of his own,not the one that is being sponsored.
“Abians should disregard his antics and gimmicks.Onuoha is not contesting for any election.He has not shown any sign of seriousness or competency. Uptil today,no posters or billboards across the seventeen Local Government Areas,no campaign council or campaign DG, no manifesto or campaign office. The only office he is using is a three bedroom flat that was rented in Umuahia.No Local Government Area is feeling his presence. His mission was to trade his ticket for money with the powers that be. He is not contesting for any election “,he said.
Norman further advised Abians not to be carried away by his lies or his manipulative spirit, stating that ADC has since disassociated itself from him and would not allow his mediocrity rub off on the party, adding that if he(Onuoha) is still contesting election,then he is contesting on his own.
“We will adopt a governorship candidate who is serious and have the interest of Abians at heart.We cannot use Sunday Onuoha to bring the change we want “,he added.
