The son of the former Abia State Chairman of Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers(NURTW), Kelechi Nwakodo, has disclosed readiness to clinch the Umuahia East State Constituency ticket, having purchased the PDP Nomination/Expression of interest form to represent the people of Umuahia East State Constituency at the Abia House of Assembly.
Speaking with National Ambassador Newspaper at the People’s Democratic Party Secretariat in Umuahia, Kelechi Nwakodo said he is coming to represent the good people of Umuahia East and would run an open policy where his people would have the opportunity to state what they want.
“Am going to the Abia House of Assembly to represent my people and not to impose myself on them. Therefore, i will give them the opportunity to state their area of needs”.
Nwakodo added that he was spurred to join the 2023 House of Assembly race to inspire the youths to join politics.”We have been hearing that the youths are the leaders of tomorrow. It is time to be the leaders”.
He assured that he would toe in the direction of the current House of Assembly member representing Umuahia East State Constituency, Hon Chukwudi Apugo, on the area of accessibility and would endeavour to exceed his performances.
Nwakodo, however, urged the youths to come out enmasse and vote for him because he is holding the youth mandate.
