2023: Abarikwu Gains Support From Ikwuano Stakeholders,Condemns Constituents Involvement In Money Politics

 

The  All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency,has condemned electorates’ Involvement in money politics come 2023, saying the next general election should be used to enthrone progressive government.

Abarikwu made this disclosure when the  leaders of Ikwuano Local Government Area, have drummed support for his aspirations.

In a meeting held at the residence of Chief Silas Ikpeama in Isiala Oboro,Ikwuano LGA, the leaders pledged their total support to the APGA candidate, describing him as the right person that can enforce change at the Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency and Ikwuano in particular, being that he married from the area.

Welcoming the stakeholders at the consultation visit, the DG Ogbonna Abarikwu Campaign Organization, Comr Osondu Anamelechi , re-emphasized the need for all to register for their Permanent Voter Cards and as well, mobilize their members to do same, stating that it is key to winning any election.

Mr Anamelechi added that 2023 is the better chance to enthrone progressive governance, therefore,it should be taken seriously.

In his speech, the Abia Central Zonal chairman under the platform of APGA, Chinagorom Okeiyi, harped the need for all APGA members to engage in sensitizing and reaching out to people, stating that since the election would be done electronically, there is need to engage more in one on one sensitization.

He maintained that already APGA has become a choice party in the state, therefore the need to work out modalities to gain victory in 2023.

Contributing, Chinele Azubuike from Oboro ward one and Chief Silas Ikpeama,thanked the House of Reps candidate for coming to visit Ikwuano and pledged their total support to his dreams and aspirations.

In his speech,Abarikwu informed the stakeholders that he is coming to effect a positive change that is deeply rooted in the truth.

According to him, 2023 politics should not be politics of self and greed, stressing that any body that is angling for change,must first allow that change to begin from him.

He said Abians must downplay the politics of money and self aggrandizement, if progressive governance must be enthroned.

The APGA candidate, however, revealed that governance is still at its lowest level because of the type of politics we play. “Politics of Money enthrones irrational, vision less and irresponsible leaders”.

Abarikwu, while clamouring for all candidates of his party to be fielded across all positions come 2023 polls,said he would bring to bare quality education, affordable and standard health system, good roads among other people oriented projects.

He said his priority is laying down legacies that would serve as a template for successive representatives, adding that the leaders of Ikwuano must rise against impunity and embezzlement of public funds come 2023.

Also, the APGA House of Assembly candidate for Ikwuano State constituency,Hon Nduka Izuchukwu,reeled out his programmes and projects for Ikwuano if elected into the House of Assembly.

Interms of Legislature, Hon Izuchukwu assured his constituents of bringing on board,laws that would advocate the wellbeing of the people,as well as, address the issue of erosion menace ravaging the Ikwuano communities.

On Representation, he promised to attract to his constituents whatever that is due them, especially projects.

On the same vein, he added that he would encourage Agriculture, empower the youth, reorientate them,as they are gradually losing focus on what governance should be.
