2019: Ndume chiefs endorse Apugo

In preparation for the 2019 election, chiefs in Ndume Otuka, Umuahia North Local Government Area, have performed traditional rite for Hon Chukwudi Apugo to show they accept and want him to represent the Constituency for the second time.

Hon Apugo who is serving as the member representing Umuahia East state Constituency, in the Abia state House of Assembly, is currently campaigning for his re-election in the forth coming election.

Speaking at the campaign rally in Umuana village, the president general Ndume Otuka, Chief Sunny Nwakodo said Hon Apugo has done well for the people of his Constituency and that formed the reason the whole village chiefs in Ndume Otuka to come out to perform the necessary rites to express how satisfied they are with his Representation.

According to Nwakodo the people are pleased with his achievements and would want the spate of development to continue, adding that the traditional rite simply connotes the people’s acceptance and prayers for a successful election.

The Constituency chairman, Okechukwu Uche in his remarks, narrated the various projects that were attracted to Umuana under the People’s Democratic Party and begged the people for their support across the various candidates of the party, adding that Hon Apugo has left legacies that are visible.

In his speech, Hon Apugo pleaded for support from the people of Umuana to represent the Constituency again, stating that after his second tenure, he would step down for another person to continue.

Giving the people reasons they should return PDP back to power, the lawmaker said the leadership of APC has caused pain,hunger and agony to Nigerians, not mentioning the massive killings that have ravaged almost the whole part of the North, stressing that such cruel government should not be allowed to continue.

Apugo while narrating what he would do for his Constituency if re-elected, said he has paid school fees for over 100 students, giving wrappers to women dung boreholes, renovated schools among others.
