The leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Abia,have risen from the just concluded Abia APC presidential/governorship campaign rally to say that the party’s governorship candidate is the only one that can rekindle the will of development in the state.
Baring their minds to National Ambassador, the leaders maintained that the governorship candidate in the person of Dr Uchechukwu Ogah can restore the lost glory of Abia,adding that he is a successful business man who is self made and is not coming to power to amass wealth but to get support to bring the needed change.
The former governor of Abia, chief Orji Uzor Kalu said Dr Ogah will build on the legacies he left when he was the governor, ranging from free education,prompt payment of salaries,employment among others, stressing that Ogah do not need public funds but he is out to work.
The state chairman of the party, Hon Donatus Nwankpa, praised the candidature of chief Ogah, saying that he is the best thing that has happened to the party with his vision of liberating Abia from the shackles of poverty, infrastructural degradation, as well as socio-economic decadence and clannish myopism. He added that Ogah ‘s emergence has changed the political equation and dynamics of Abia state in favour of APC.
Hon Acho Obioma the Rally Committee chairman, said Dr Ogah is a man loved and accepted by the generality of Abians, whose name brings hope to the depressed,adding that all APC candidates are men and women of pedigree and integrity with a well articulated vision to reposition Abia.
He urged Abians to vote in government that will pay salaries,create jobs,stop multiple taxation that has paralyzed small businesses as well as create enabling environment for business to thrive.
Also speaking Amb,Chidike Ukauwa said Ogah is the best for APC and the state, adding that his vision for Abia was part of the reasons he stepped down for him, urging Abians to give him their votes
Earlier the National chairman of APC, Comr Adams Oshiomhole described the choice of Ogah as the best adding that he will not only help develop Abia but will attract federal presence to the state,asking Abians to be wise in their vote.
