2019 AFCON: Anxiety As Super Eagles’ Round of 16 Opponents Set To Emerge

Nigerians are biting their fingers as the await the outcome of group F matches, which will determine, who the Super Eagles will face in the round of 16 of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria came second in group B and will face the team that will come second in group F, which comprises of defending champions Cameroon, Ghana, Benin and Guinea-Bissau.

After two matches the group is not yet well defined as any of the teams can still finish second depending on the outcome of today’s matches.

Benin Republic with two points will take on Cameroon, who have four points. Guinea-Bissau with a single point will take on the the Black Stars of Ghana, who have two points.

There will also be matches in group E. Angola will confront Mali while Mauritania will lurk horns with Tunisia.

In yesterday’s matches, Cote d’Ivoire hammered Namibia 4-1 as South Africa lost by a lone goal to Morocco.

Harambee Stars of Kenya lost 0-3 to Senegal, the same margin with which Algeria beclouded Taifa Stars of Tanzania.
