The first semi-finals of this year’s FIFA Club World Cup taking place in the UAE holds today between home side Al Ain and South American champions, River plate.
The match, which will take place at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, is the third for Al Ain. Their first match was against Team Wellington, who they defeated via penalties.
There second opponents were African Champions, Esperance of Tunisia. Al Ain defeated the Africans 3-0 to set up tonight’s clash.
River Plate are drawn by for the preliminary rounds. Like the European champions, they join the championship in the semi-finals.
