The Super Falcons of Nigeria are the champions of the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations as they beat South Africa 4-3 on penalties after full and extra time had ended goalless.
This is the first time Nigeria had to win on penalties.
Asisat Oshoala missed a penalty in the second half that would have given Nigeria the day within regulation time.
Nigeria has won the AWCON nine times. This is their third successive title, from 2014 to 2018.
Cameroon won the bronze and the fare play trophy as well.
