The Super Falcons of Nigeria will clash with Equatorial Guinea in a must win last group B match at the 15,000 capacity Cape Coast Sports Stadium later today.
After losing their first match to South Africa by a lone goal, the Nigerian ladies, who are the defending champions, rallied round to defeat the Shepolopolo of Zambia 4-0.
As it stands now South Africa leads the group with six points and a +7 goal difference. Nigeria and Zambia follow with three points each, but the West Africans have a +3 goal difference as against Zambia’s 1.
Zambia can qualify ahead of Nigeria if they beat South Africa and Nigeria fail to beat Equatorial Guinea.
Though, Equatorial Guinea has conceded 12 goals in two matches, they could be spoilers. They have dethroned Nigeria twice and they have some Nigerians playing for them.
It is not just a semi-final ticket at stake there is also the 2019 Women’s World Cup ticket for grabs.
