$125m IsDB Facility Will Accelerate Development In Abia – Eze Linto

The Chairman, Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Linus Nto Mbah (Linto), has said that the $125 million financing facility secured by Governor Alex Otti from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) for the State’s Integrated Infrastructure Development Project will greatly accelerate development in the state.

Eze Mbah made the remark while reacting to the approval of the facility by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Federal Executive Council meeting held on Wednesday, 13 August 2025.

The Royal father expressed delight that the loan would support the construction of approximately 126 kilometres of road network in Aba and 35.57 kilometres in Umuahia, alongside critical erosion control works across the state.

He expressed optimism that the infrastructural projects initiated by Governor Otti would reduce travel time on Abia roads, create employment opportunities, and help to tackle erosion challenges, amongst other benefits.
