Atiku seeks support of Abia Traditional rulers, Stakeholders

Ahead of the Forthcoming general elections,the People’s Democratic Party Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has called on Abia Royal Fathers and major stakeholders in the state to come out en masse and participate in the electoral process saying their participation will determine the future of the Country.

Atiku who made the appeal on Saturday while addressing leaders of Abia State Traditional rulers Council drawn from the 17 Local Government Areas of the State
described the traditional institution as sacred and important institution closest to the grassroots.

He harped on the need for the traditional rulers to mobilize their subjects to support the PDP in the coming elections.

The PDP presidential candidate who attributed the Socio-economic progress made in Abia to the party’s leadership said it is in the interest of all stakeholders to remain consistent and on course to consolidate on the progress.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in his remarks noted that time has come for Nigerians to choose who will lead the country.

Ikpeazu while describing Abia as part of the Atiku/Obi campaign project and a major stakeholder in the Nigerian project having been accorded the SME capital of the country,said that the state will vote massively for all the PDP candidates in the forthcoming coming general elections.

National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, described the Party’s Presidential candidate as the most competent candidate for the position having excelled in both the private and public sector and urged Abians to vote for him.

Chairman of the Abia State Traditional Rulers Council, Eze Eberechi Dick on behalf of the traditional rulers assured that the traditional rulers will mobilize support and vote massively for the party in the forthcoming election.
